Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh performed at a jampacked venue in Indore on Sunday, and while at it, he broke his silence on the black marketing of his concert tickets in India. The 'Lover' singer's concert tickets got sold illegally in the country for lakhs after the ticket sales went live on the official booking platform, and the singer and the organisers came under the scanner for the illegal sale and inflated prices of the tickets.

On Sunday, Diljit paused and addressed the crowd over the frenzy around his concert tickets being sold in the illegal black market. "Some people in the country have been going against me, stating that the tickets for my concerts are being sold in black. Isme mera kya kasoor hai? If you buy a ticket for Rs 10 and sell it for Rs 100, what is the artist's fault in it?" he asked.

He went on to say, "This is not something new though. Tickets have been sold in black earlier too, ever since cinema took over India. Only the avenues have changed now. So you can go about and say whatever you want about me, I have no fear, because I am not at fault here."

Diljit also gave a shoutout to Punjabi singers AP Dhillon and Karan Aujla, who too are in India for their respective shows. The 'Chamkila' star said, "Earlier, singers used to sing in the background and actors would just mime them. Now, those singers have come to the fore and are in the spotlight."

"Earlier, tickets for concerts of foreign singers would get sold in black in India, and today, the tickets for the shows of Indian artists are being sold in the black market. This is what we call 'Vocal For Local'!" he added.

After his successful concert in Indore, Diljit will next perform in Mumbai and Chandigarh, before finally wrapping up his Dil-Luminati India Tour in Guwahati on December 29.
