Pradhana Vizha, the Mediacorp award event honouring Indian-origin entertainers in Singapore, will have its landmark 20th edition on 15 February 2025.
Themed “Unravelling Dreams” and to be held at The Theatre at Mediacorp, this year’s spectacular event (9pm to 11.45pm; live on mewatch, Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube, and Vasantham) has announced its nominees (see list below).
Just before the main live show on stage, there will be an hour-long star-studded red carpet segment, “A Golden Walk to Stardom”, featuring the glitzy arrivals of stars in their finest ensembles. (15 February, 6.30pm-7.30pm, Live on mewatch, Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube, and Vasantham.)
In a special segment of Pradhana Vizha this year, fans will also be taken on a nostalgic trip down the vibrant world of local Indian showbiz. They will revisit iconic characters and unforgettable moments that have shaped the industry over the decades.
LED walls will be lined up along the red carpet, showcasing a montage of celebrated wins and enduring legacies from Pradhana Vizha, spanning from its inaugural edition in 1996 to the present.
Awards for excellence in entertainment
Pradhana Vizha salutes the best in the local Indian entertainment industry, with the presentation of distinguished awards. This year’s event promises a particularly glamorous soirée, as it takes audiences on a visual journey through the awards’ iconic milestones in the past and present, while setting a promising tone for the future.

As anticipation builds, the live awards show will unfold in three thematic segments amidst a series of heartfelt tributes and collaborative stages that will bring together emerging talents and beloved veterans.
● The first segment, “Legacy & Influence”, will shine a light on the trailblazers who have paved the way for others with their remarkable achievements. Accolades presented during this segment include the “Lifetime Achievement” award, to honour a distinguished individual whose contributions have left an indelible imprint on the industry.
● The next chapter, “Today’s Triumphs”, will recognise the exceptional talents who are reshaping the present entertainment landscape through their unwavering dedication to their craft and profound storytelling abilities. This segment will feature the crucial roles played by supporting artistes and singers, highlighting their unique contributions in enriching narratives.
● With an eye on the future, the final segment, “Envisioning Tomorrow”, will be dedicated to the achievements of outstanding artistes as well as best actors and actresses who form the next generation of stars, who will redefine and set the trends ahead.
In this segment, fans can also look forward to the highly anticipated awards, “Most Popular Male Personality” and “Most Popular Female Personality”. Voting for these will open from 1 February midnight till 15 February at 10pm via mediacorp.sg/pradhanavizha.
