Actress Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday (June 27) at the age of 42. While initial reports stated that she suffered a cardiac arrest, Mumbai Police officials stated that the cause of her death is yet to be ascertained. Shefali's body was sent to Vile Parle's Cooper Hospital for post mortem.

On Saturday (June 28), Shefali's husband Parag Tyagi was spotted outside the hospital. Several videos have surfaced in which he is seen getting mobbed by paparazzi soon after he stepped out of his car.

"Please aisa mat karo na tum log," he is heard requesting paps with folded hands.

Shefali's rakhi brother, social media personality Hindustani Bhau, was also spotted outside the hospital. Several family members and Mumbai Police officials were also seen arriving at the hospital, where Shefali's postmortem is underway.

Shefali Jariwala's death

On Saturday, Mumbai Police officials stated that they received a call around 1 am informing them about Shefali's death. "Her body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear," said an official, as reported by ANI.

Cops have also recorded the statement of Parag, at their home, along with three other people.

Initial reports had stated that Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband. However, hospital staff confirmed she was declared brought dead upon arrival. The postmortem report is awaited to determine the exact cause of death.

Shefali's journey in the industry

Shefali rose to fame in 2002 with her performance in the music video Kaanta Laga, which earned her the nickname 'Kaanta Laga' girl. She later appeared in several music videos and films, including a small role in Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

In 2019, she made a comeback to the spotlight as a participant on Bigg Boss 13.

Shefali was married to Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros' fame in 2004. However, they parted ways in 2009. She tied the knot with Parag in 2014.
