One can’t deny the fact that the Marathi film industry is evolving big time in terms of content and also the business that it’s doing. Hence many Bollywood actors have shown keen interest in this burgeoning regional industry. Hindi film stars like Amitabh Bachchan, RiteishDeshmukh and Akshay Kumar have produced films for the regional film industry.

Now the ‘Gulaab Gang’ actress, Madhuri Dixit too has expressed her desire to associate with Marathi films. Apparently Madhuri is highly impressed by the content of Marathi films and want to do some work there as well, especially Marathi being her mother tongue as well. However, she isn’t sure if she will ever follow in the footsteps of some Hindi movie stars and produce a film in the regional language.

“I have missed most of the recent Marathi films because of my hectic schedule but yes, I have seen ‘Natrang’ (2010) and ‘Jogwa’ (2009) and I was impressed with the kind of films they are making today,” said Madhuri.

“The Marathi film industry has evolved over the years. As far as producing Marathi films are concerned, I have not thought about it, but I would love to do it someday,” she added.

Apparently, Madhuri is even open to acting in a Marathi film, if she is approached with a very good script. Hear that, producers??
