Marathi television actor Sanket Korlekar revealed that on Sunday, March 16, his brand-new iPhone 16 Pro Max worth Rs 1.70 lakh, which he purchased last month, was snatched by two bikers in Thane, Maharashtra, while he was sitting in a rickshaw on his way to a meeting. On Monday, the actor took to his social media handle to inform his fans, revealing that the bikers tried to snatch the phone with such force that his wrist now has scratches.

Sanket shared that he had a strap attached to his mobile, making it clearly visible in his hand. He revealed that he has filed an FIR at Rabodi Police Station in Thane and has full faith in the police to help him recover his phone.

"I was in a rickshaw and even though I was sitting in the middle, they stole my phone. Today, it's me. Tomorrow, it might be a woman. Forget the mobile, I can see people who are desperate for a mobile worth Rs.10,000. They are in great danger. I had never thought that this would happen in Thane. And it is happening now. They have been harassed so much in Thane. So, you should remain alert at this time," he added.

Sanket has urged the police to increase security, revealing that while he was at the police station, another person arrived to file a complaint about their mobile being stolen in front of Viviana Mall in Thane, leaving him worried.

He added, "Today, nothing happened because my hand was strong. But tomorrow morning, if it was a woman and if she had fallen out of the rickshaw, it would have been an even bigger problem. Because there were many cars coming behind her. So, I am really worried. This is something to think about. You should think about it. The government should think about it."

Sanket shared that his entire career depends on his phone and on social media. He added that thieves have become so aggressive that cases of chain snatching, bike theft, and mobile snatching are increasing, making it necessary to take action. "I have complete faith in your and my police control. Soon, something good will happen. Till then, stay alert. Nothing is safe. Stay alert," he concluded.
