Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan sustained a back injury while shooting an action sequence for his highly anticipated film King, which features his daughter Suhana Khan in the lead role and is being directed by Siddharth Anand. The incident has affected the production schedule, with filming now expected to resume in September. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed concern for the actor and extended her wishes for his speedy recovery.

Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday (July 19), Mamata Banerjee wrote: "Reports regarding my brother Shah Rukh Khan sustaining muscular injuries during shooting make me worried. Wish him speedy recovery."

Shah Rukh Khan Prioritises Health
According to a report in India Today, following Shah Rukh's injury, the actor initially travelled to the United States for preliminary treatment. He has now relocated to the United Kingdom, where he is currently recuperating in the company of his family. Additionally, his planned visit to Sri Lanka has been postponed prioritise his health and ensure a full recovery.
SRK Advised Month-Long Rest
Shah Rukh was reportedly shooting in Mumbai when he sustained the injury and has been advised by doctors to take a break of at least one month to recover fully.
So far, neither Shah Rukh Khan nor his team has issued an official statement addressing the ongoing speculations surrounding his injury and recovery.

According to several reports making the rounds, King will have several stars being a part of it, such as Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma, to name a few.
