Singer Jasleen Royal, best-known for singing hit tracks including Ranjha, Heeriye, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and Sang Rahiyo, among others, was the opening act at the Coldplay concert that took place in January this year at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. However, her performance faced criticism from several attendees, with many calling it as 'bad' and 'out-of-tune.' Months later, Jasleen has finally addressed the trolling and was seen breaking down in tears while opening up about the experience.

On Sunday, April 6, Jasleen Royal shared a new video titled Dare To Dream on her official YouTube channel, offering a glimpse of her opening act during Coldplay's concert. The video also featured social media comments where netizens criticised her performance. In one emotional moment, Jasleen, looked visibly upset ahead of her performance on Day 2, was heard speaking to a team member, saying, "Yaar, kal nahi hua tha. Kal problem kya hua tha? While another team member told her, "That creative part I will leave to you. Technical part, we are sorry." Further, Jasleen was heard saying, "After a certain point, I can feel it like it’s time to go home. There’s a lot of pressure. I’ll die. I swear I’ll die. I am still processing. It was a lot to process."

Later, the singer addressed the audience and said, "I have been nervous, it has been overwhelming. But thank you for keeping your faith in me. It means a lot."

Further in the video, Jasleen expressed her nervousness, revealing that she didn't want people to think she didn't deserve to be there or question why she was performing at the Coldplay concert. She also shared her concerns that the audience was only there for Coldplay and that her music might not be appreciated.

"I am a self-taught musician. So, I know I am not perfect. I keep learning every day. I try to better myself every day. But I try to put up a great show that people have a great experience. I’m just trying to put out my best effort that they also feel that was a good opening act we selected from India. And that’s all the pressure I’m taking. Nothing much," added the singer.
