The Supreme Court has given a verdict of relocating stray dogs in Delhi-NCR to shelters. This has become the topic of discussion on social media, and actress Raveena Tandon, who is a dog lover, has reacted to the SC's verdict. She feels that this has happened because the local authorities as they didn't do their work of vaccination and sterilisation properly.
While talking to HT City, the actress said, “I feel where the population of indies has increased, it is honestly not these poor dogs to be blamed. It means the vaccination and sterilisation drives aren’t done by local bodies."
She further added, “If that was a success, or the money and infrastructure was set properly, I don’t think we would have reached this point. Local bodies are responsible for the strays in their communities, and sterilisation is the need of the hour."
