After the extravagant MET GALA event, it’s now time to catch some glimpses of Cannes Film festival 2019. Be ready to watch dozens of pictures of celebrities from around the world at Cannes film festival red carpet. This year Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Huma Qureshi will make it to the prestigious red carpet.
But what does it cost them to be at this luxurious event?
Of course the actresses don’t need to pay the money to appear on a red carpet but they barely have a choice with what they wear and flaunt. Mostly designers and brands decide what dress and jewellery will be worn by them. Unlike them we, as a commoner, can also go to this gala as long as we’ve a ticket or invitation from them. But apart from this, we also should have a huge amount in our pocket to spend at least a day in this French movie capital.
Access to the festival is granted via special badges, which are reserved for accredited film industry professionals. Also, every evening there is a free open-air cinema show for which anyone can go down and grab a deckchair.
The Cannes website also states that there are few screenings available for open public as part of the Directors’ Fortnight and is accessible through Cannes Cinephiles, which costs around Rs 500 Rupees (7 euros) each or Rs 2300 (30 euros) for six showings. Limited free tickets can also be found for Critics’ Week.
