On Monday evening (June 30), Khushi took to her Instagram handle and penned a lengthy note, stating that she is 'not apologetic' for her outfits. She wrote, "I wanted to remain SILENT until now !! But I saw that all the fingers are getting pointed on me !! Yes, I should disregard that many of you have been supportive too, but...I would see that it's so easy to just abuse someone on social media troll them, and come into the limelight. For people who have been asking me or asking everywhere else that is it vulgarity or fashion n concluding that this is in now way any fashion statement. Well, let me tell u that I am myself someone who is bold and courageous, and I like to take daring decisions!"

Further, she added, "Yes, fashion sometimes fails, sometimes succeeds, but I'm not apologetic for wearing what I like!! All my dresses, as u all can see, are inspired by Hollywood actresses/influencers or even runway models !! Yes, I live in a Democratic country. It is not ruled by the Taliban that there should be a Ban on the clothes that I wear!"
