Actor Syed Badr-ul Hasan Khan Bahadur, who was the part of many famous TV shows passed away today in Lucknow. He was more popularly known in the industry as Pappu Polyster. He was also part of Hrithik Roshan starrer Jodha Akbar (2008).
According to a report in Times Now, Pappu Polyester was also a classical dancer and had even won and Award for the Best classical dance from Birju Maharaja Ji. In fact, he was even given the national award for the Best supporting actor for the TV series The Sword of Tipu Sultan. He was felicitated with the honour of doctorate in acting from Ambedkar University, Uttar Pradesh.
Other films that he was featured in are Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Mann, Khoya Khoya Chand, Farishtey, Maharaja, Phool Aur Angaar, Tere Mere Sapne, Badal, Andha Inteqaam,Tumse Achcha Kaun, Mrs Shrimati, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage and Hero Hindustan.
The report further stated that the actor, who belonged to the royal family of Awadh, was proficient in many languages. Apart from Hindi, the actor was fluent in Urdu, Persian, Arabic, English, Punjabi, Awadhi, and Bhojpuri.
