After the stabbing incident, Saif Ali Khan is all set for his next release titled Jewel Thief. The movie will premiere on Netflix and it also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Nikita Dutta, and Kunal Kapoor. On Monday, the trailer of the film was launched at an event in Mumbai which was attended by the cast and the film's producer, Siddharth Anand. The trailer has been released, and it is strictly average.
The movie revolves around Aulak (Jaideep), who wants Red Sun, Africa's most precious diamond. He hires a man (Saif Ali Khan) to rob it, and then there's a cop (Kunal Kapoor) who is behind this robber and wants to arrest him. We also have a female lead who is married to the villain, but it looks like she has a past with the robber. The trailer shows that how they plan the robbery, the cat and mouse game between Saif and Kunal's character, and more.
The trailer is stylish, and also has a Race kind of a feel to it. However, it is not that engaging. After looking at the trailer, we can expect this one to be a run-of-the-mill heist thriller. Only some twists and turns, and good chase and action sequences can make Jewel Thief stand out from the heist movies that we have earlier watched in Bollywood.
When it comes to performances, it is Jaideep Ahlawat's negative role that grabs our attention the most in the trailer, and of course, we simply can't wait to watch him dance. Other actors including Saif are decent.
Jewel Thief Release Date
Jewel Thief is slated to release on April 25, 2025. The movie is directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. While the trailer hasn't impressed us a lot, let's hope that the movie turns out to be better.
