Actress Avneet Kaur was spotted attending the Wimbledon 2025 on July 7, Monday, and on the same day, former Team India skipper Virat Kohli too attended the game along with wife Anushka Sharma. As Avneet shared photos from the event on social media, netizens decided to pull her leg, given the entire 'like' fiasco with Kohli.
Avneet exuded class in a white off-shoulder bodycon dress, with matching stilettos and a chic Louis Vuitton scarf around her neck. Sharing the photos, she wrote, "A day at @wimbledon ♥️🎾 Thank you so much @wimbledon for having me! “There’s only one Wimbledon” 😉 #hosted (sic)," she captioned the photos.
As soon as she shared the photos, netizens erupted into a memefest, and teased the actress, asking if her attending the Wimbledon on the same day as Kohli was just a coincidence or pre-planned.
"Virat bhai ka peecha kar rahi hai (sic)," a user commented under her post, while another wrote, "Virat also there...interesting (sic)." A netizen teased, "You telling me it's a coincidence that Virat was there too? (sic)."

It was back in May, when during the Indian Premiere League, Kohli's social media activity grabbed eyeballs after netizens spotted the cricketer's 'like' on a post comprising of a slew of photos of Avneet, shared by her fan page on Instagram. It snowballed into a memefest after users noticed that he seemingly liked the pictures on wife Anushka Sharma's birthday (May 1), hours after wishing her with a heartfelt post online.
But what surprised the internet even more was that Kohli actually decided to issue a clarification on the same. "I'd like clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding (sic)," he wrote in his statement.
While Avneet maintained radio-silence on the chatter, her social media followers skyrocketed post the incident, and she also bagged multiple brand deals worth crores.
