Cinematographer Pratik Shah, known for projects like Jubilee, CTRL, and Homebound, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, has been accused by filmmaker Abhinav Singh of being "highly manipulative" and "emotionally abusive" based on his personal experience. Abhinav, in his Instagram story, shared that nearly 20 women reached out to him after he called out Pratik on social media, recounting troubling experiences involving him, labelling him a 'predator.'
He further expressed disappointment that not a single man showed interest in understanding what was happening—not to ask, support, or even acknowledge.
Abinav added, "Use your privilege to listen really listen. Use your platform to ask difficult questions. Use your position to call out behavior even when it's inconvenient. And do it not just for your mothers, daughters, or sisters but for your friends, your colleagues, your peers.Being a man is not about "being able to get it up." Being a man being human - is about showing up."

Since Abhinav's shocking revelations, Pratik has deleted his Instagram account. When searching for his handle, a 'user not found' message pops up, indicating that the account is no longer available on the platform.
Filmmaker Srishti Riya Jain revealed that Pratik has been 'on the prowl for the past four years.' On her Instagram story, she shared comments from Reddit where several users discussed Pratik’s inappropriate behaviour. She wrote, "To everyone pretending to act shocked, scandalised and suddenly awoken from their slumber...THIS man who worked on one of the 'most empathetic' films of the year as per their interviews at Cannes."
A user said, "Pratik Shah who is a total sleazeball. Sides into every girl's dms and talks crap."
While another user said, "My god, he sent me request last year while I was liking her pics. I accepted his request, and he said, sorry, request sent by a mistake. And I was like okay and unfollwed him immediately."
