IIFA 2025 took place during the weekend in Jaipur, Rajasthan. While the digital awards took place on Saturday, the theatrical awards happened on Sunday. If we talk about the winners, Best Film went to Laapataa Ladies, Best Director award was given to Kiran Rao, Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor Male award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Best Actor Female award was given to Laapataa Ladies actress Nitanshi Goel.
While of course fans of Kartik and Nitanshi are happy that they received the award, some netizens are upset with them getting Best Actor Male and Best Actor Female award.

Well, a lot of netizens felt that Katrina Kaif deserved an award for her performance in Merry Christmas. As the actress even attended the award function, her fans were expecting that she will get an award, but that didn't happen.
