Television actress Rupali Ganguly, currently seen on the TV show Anupamaa, recently criticised the Supreme Court’s decision to relocate stray dogs to shelters. However, an X (formerly Twitter) user accused her of consuming chicken, beef, mutton, and fish, arguing that her love for animals should apply to all species. The user further claimed she could not advocate for strays while keeping elite breeds at her home.

The actress wrote on X, "I feed the homeless animals on a daily basis … every animal I feed has been regularly vaccinated and sterilized…. I support animal shelters and gaushalas … not only in my city but all over India..."

They understand love and kindness which humans fail to understand. This earth belongs to all."
What Did SC Say About Stray Dogs?
The Supreme Court on Monday passed a judgement ordering local bodies to transfer all the stray dogs in the Delhi-NCR region to shelter homes. Not just that, but the apex court also mentioned that the authorities must make sure not a single dog escapes the shelter home.
Several celebrities, including John Abraham, Janhvi Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Varun Dhawan, Vijay Varma, and Bhumi Pednekar, among others, have voiced their disapproval of the Supreme Court's recent order.
