A few days ago, a video of a pig sprinting through West Hollywood, California, went viral on social media. Animal control safely captured him, but no owner came forward to claim the pig. So, Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren won a silent auction to adopt him for her Malibu animal sanctuary.
While talking about adopting Wilbur, Diane told KTLA 5 News, "I saw the footage like everybody else did, and people kept sending it to me as well. By the way, he should be in a marathon because that's a fast pig. I called my friend Marcia, who runs my rescue ranch, that we have to save this pig, and we have to find a way to get him. We found out that he was going to be at a silent auction at a shelter. Wilbur was there, and we got him. We bid on him."
When asked how Wilbur is doing now, the songwriter said, "I guess he is doing great. I am not over there, but I hear that he is living quite a life."

This is not the first time when Diane has come forward to save an animal. In 2021, the songwriter helped save an escaped slaughterhouse cow after the animal spent more than a day running loose in Southern California.
