Bollywood actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, last seen in Emergency, recently announced her first leading role in the upcoming horror drama Blessed Be The Evil. However, the actress recently expressed her disappointment when a group of young kids failed to name India's President, Droupadi Murmu, and mistakenly referred to her as 'Murunali.'

On Saturday, sharing the video on her Instagram story, Kangana wrote, "War won't kill us but grasshopper brain cell generation surely will," in reference to the escalating conflicts between India and Pakistan. The actress' reaction seemed to reflect her concern about the state of affairs and the lack of awareness among the younger generation.

Check it out:

The video begins with an anchor asking a group of girls, "Who is the President of India?" One girl responds, "I forgot his name." Another adds, "Murunali, I don't know. Murunu or something."

A third girl says, "Ram Nath Kovind, right?" Meanwhile, a fourth girl confidently says, "Jawaharlal Nehru, he was the first president," after cleverly pointing out that the host hadn’t specified the current President's name.

About Kangana Ranaut's Hollywood debut

Ranaut's Blessed Be The Evil will be backed by the US-based production company Lions Movies. The film will star Kangana alongside Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone, who was most recently seen in Tulsa King.

According to a report in Variety, production for Blessed Be The Evil will begin this summer in New York. The producers revealed that the decision to shoot in US locations was made deliberately to "avoid running into any uncertainties stemming from the recently announced Trump industry tariffs."
