The legendary actresses of the bygone era who have failed to make a comeback
They say the shelf life of an actress is short, but even shorter are her days in the limelight. Beauty fades with age and there is always someone better to take your place. Bollywood is a

testimony to this as even the most talented actresses have had a series of flops when they tried to make a comeback.
Today the name that tops the list is Preity Zinta. We all are aware of her disappearance from showbiz, while she was quite actively seen in Page 3 events and IPL matches romancing her long-term boyfriend Ness Wadia. Post break up she tried to distract herself by getting back to acting and producing her film ‘Ishkq in Paris’. Thus, pouring in all her efforts and money to reclaim her lost glory but alas! It was all in vain. Blame it on her co-star who is a newcomer or just the film altogether, the bottom line is the film was a flop. These days we see her trying too hard in every possible event. Yes, the actress is still the dimple queen with a cute personality and bubbly aura around her but on screen she seems to have lost her magic touch. She still has a shot with Sunny paaji in ‘Bhaiyyaji Superhit’.
Rani Mukherjee is the second name on the chart. Acting was her forte as we still remember her critically acclaimed performance in ‘Black’ and a dozen other movies that kept Rani as the top actress in Bollywood at one point. But then, there was a sudden downfall in her career with flop films like ‘Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’ and ‘Dil Bole Hadippa!’ and then she was soon losing her fan base. She tried her best with her so-called comeback ‘Aiyyaa’ but that failed miserably. There were movies like ‘No one Killed Jessica’ and ‘Talaash’ which did a decent job at the box-office but then her co-stars stole the limelight and her performance did not get the due credit. With the blessings of Yash Raj Films she is getting a chance to revive her magic with the upcoming ‘Mardaani’.
