Buzz is that composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant have collaborated with the multi-talented actor-filmmaker-singer Farhan Akhtar for their next single titled ‘Chhulein Aasman…’. What’s more, the collaboration between the composer duo and Farhan is said to be a part of an initiative to increase internet literacy among women in the country.
According to reports, the song is for Farhan’s foundation Men Against Rape and Discrimination (MARD) and Google’s joint initiative called Reach For The Sky. Talking about the collaboration Salim said that they have decided to spread awareness in this regard in their respective concerts as a part of the team-up.
“We have discussed this (about concerts) and Farhan said, ‘If I am playing, you guys come along and I will come where you are playing and let’s just play this song as much as we can, live’,” Salim said at the launch of the song. He further added saying, “Music is a lot about people. When you start collaborating and jamming together, then you take it to another level. ‘Chhulein Aasman…’ has been a wonderful trip and we may collaborate at each other’s concerts.”
