Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh was criticised recently after a video of him from the screening of Sitaare Zameen Par went viral. In the video, Riteish can be seen denying a selfie to a young fan, and netizens felt that the actor was unnecessarily rude to the fan.

In the video which is now going viral, Riteish can be seen walking out of the venue with his wife, Genelia D'Souza, who is a part of Sitaare Zameen Par. It was then that a young boy approached Riteish for a selfie, but the actor seemed to be in no mood for it. He was seen getting irritated and pushing the boy's hand away before swiftly walking away.

This did not sit well with netizens who criticised the actor for the act. "Faltu ka attitude," a user commented under the video, while another wrote, "Not expected from Riteish, very wrong attitude." "Imagine his parents would have sent him to u for a pic and politely he came and tried to take a selfie, what was wrong in that? Stay humble bhai and u will lose nothing out of it (sic)," a netizen commented.

On the work front, Riteish was last seen in the film, Housefull 5, alongside an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangana Singh, Soundarya Sharma, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, and others. The film managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, but its box office run came to a staggering halt due to the success of Sitaare Zameen Par.

Riteish will be next seen in Raja Shivaji, in which he will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He is also directing the film.
