Actress Sonam Kapoor recently walked the ramp at the Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025 in Gurgaon, Delhi, where she paid a tribute to the late fashion designer, close friend Rohit Bal, who passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 63 due to heart-related ailments. As she walked, she became emotional remembering him and broke down in tears.

However, she was brutally trolled by netizens, who accused her of "overacting" and pointed out that no "tears" were visible on her face. The actress was seen wearing a white ethnic outfit featuring a heavily embellished ivory jacket from Rohit Bal's collection. Her hair was styled in a sleek bun, adorned with roses.

Soon after Sonam's "emotional" appearance on the ramp, the video was shared on Reddit's BollyBlindsNGossips, where netizens slammed her. A user wrote, "moment I saw this on my feed, i was like "kya gandi acting kar rahi hai."" Another user said, "RIP Rohit Bal but I can’t take Sonam seriously. Crying but there’s no tears."

While a third user also criticised her ramp walk, stating, "Her fake-crying is bad but I think this is still not as bad as that ramp walk where she was doing a "classical dance" on the ramp but there was zero grace, she came off as a complete clown, it was so cringe!"

The film also starred Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey, among others. It premiered on Jio Cinema.
