The 17th season of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss premiered on October 15, and since then, it has not only been brewing controversies inside the house, but in the outside world as well. Advocate Sana Raees Khan, who is one of the participants on the show, has landed in a legal soup after actor Faizan Ansari accused her of lying and slapped a defamation case on her.
As per reports, Ansari has registered a Rs 10 crore defamation case against Sana for using his name and his lawyer Ali Kashif's name to her benefit and lying about being Aryan Khan's lawyer.
Sana is one of the most high-profile lawyers in the city, and she is known for representing Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case. Before entering Bigg Boss 17, she claimed that she also represented Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in the infamous Cordelia cruise ship drugs case, but Ansari has now called it false.
Sana Raees Khan in legal trouble
Ansari recently spoke to the media and claimed that Sana never represented Aryan in the drugs case, but instead, she was the advocate for one Evin Sahu, who was also on board the cruise ship when Aryan and his friends were detained and arrested by the Mumbai Police.
He went on to say that Aryan was represented by advocate Ali Kashif, who is also his lawyer, and that Sana was using Aryan's name as well as their name to gain popularity on the show.
"She calls herself a criminal lawyer, but she herself is a fraudster and a criminal. Forget fighting his case, she has never met Aryan or Shah Rukh Khan in her dreams also," Ansari said.
He added that he directly approached the Mumbai Police commissioner with his complaint against Sana and went on to claim that no advocate was ready to take up his case, so he has decided to fight it on his own.
Previous complaint about Sana Raees Khan
Sana's participation in the Bigg Boss 17 house has been in the news for all wrong reasons since the very first day.
As soon as she entered the house, Bombay High Court lawyer Ashutosh J Dubey filed a complaint with the Bar Council of India over "violation of Bar Council rules".
Terming it "a serious matter of professional misconduct", Dubey stated that Khan cannot be participating in the reality show.
