Mouni Roy who is all set to debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Gold has been getting blessings from her TV friends. However, one person who is proud of her the most is none other than her mentor, Ekta Kapoor.
In an interaction with Indian Express, after asked about Mouni’s debut, Ekta said, “I really believe bigger than anybody in your life, is the one who gives you a chance. That, no one can take away from you. Today, Mouni is being launched (in films). Whenever her name is taken, mine is taken with her.”
She further blessed Mouni by adding, “She is fantastic. She is such a good girl. I haven’t worked with such an adorable person ever. I pray that this girl with a heart of gold shines like gold on screen.”
Mouni and Ekta share a close bond with each other. In fact, Ekta is the one who brought Mouni into the limelight with her supernatural show, Naagin and Naagin 2. Mouni will next be seen as Mehrunissa in Ekta’s upcoming web series. Meanwhile, Mouni is also a part of Brahmastra which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Apart from these films, Mouni also bagged the film RAW, opposite John Abraham and Made In China with Rajkummar Rao.
