Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit have been in the news for the past many weeks. Reportedly, the actress was offered the film, but she opted out of it as the makers didn't agree to her demands like higher remuneration, an eight-hour working shift, and more. However, now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actress made an exit from the Prabhas starrer because of Atlee's film with Allu Arjun.
A source told the portal, “Deepika loved the script and role in Sandeep Vanga’s film. The contract was being drawn up, when a week later she was offered Atlee’s film with Allu Arjun, which she liked even more than Sandeep Vanga’s film. Since she couldn’t do both the projects, she decided to opt out of Spirit, citing differences of opinion on fee, work hours, etc."

Deepika was replaced by Triptii Dimri in the movie. While announcing Triptii's casting in Spirit, Vanga had shared on social media, "The female lead for my film is now official."
Till now, neither Deepika nor Vanga has spoken about the whole controversy. But these reports of the actress asking for an eight-hour shift because she is a new mother have started a discussion in the industry.
