Actress Deepika Padukone has officially joined the cast of Atlee's AA22xA6 alongside Telugu star Allu Arjun, marking her first project after welcoming her daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, on September 8, 2024. This development comes after Deepika exited Spirit, directed by Animal filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga — reportedly due to her request for an eight-hour workday as a new mom, which translated to just six hours of actual shooting.
On Saturday, the makers took to social media to unveil a video welcoming Deepika to the cast. With the caption, "The Queen marches to conquer! Welcome onboard."

The video begins with Atlee narrating the film's script to Deepika, who listens attentively. As the narration progresses, she appears visibly excited, claps her hands in delight, and gives him a thumbs-up. Eventually, the two conclude the interaction with a handshake.
Following the narration, Deepika is seen filming her VFX portions. Dressed in a black bodysuit, she performs a high-energy action sequence involving dynamic jumps and kicks. In another segment, she is seated on a VFX horse, receiving direction from Atlee.
Talking about the collaboration, in an official statement, Atlee shared, "Collaborating with Deepika Padukone mam on Jawan was incredible - her range, power, and grace shine in every frame. She drives the story. Now, with her and Allu Arjun sir together, we’re creating something truly unforgettable - real filmmaker's dream synergy."

The project will mark Padukone's reunion with Atlee, following their successful collaboration on the 2023 blockbuster Jawan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan.
Backed by production banner Sun Pictures, the movie is billed as a magnum opus.
