Coldplay's lead vocalist, Chris Martin, stopped his performance midway after he spotted a female fan in distress in the crowd. Several videos have been doing the rounds on social media in which Chris is seen ensuring the fan's safety during the concert at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Sunday (January 26).
The incident occurred as Chris had just begun performing the hit song My Universe. Noticing commotion in the audience, he gestured to his bandmates to stop the music and quickly rushed to the edge of the stage.

Pointing towards a specific area in the crowd, he said, "Hold on, hold on. Hey, are you okay? Can you put her there so she is safe, please?"
Urging security personnel and nearby fans to assist the person, he continued, "You sit here, because she's getting squished. Or just sit down there. That’s safer."
"Please make sure you’re looking after each other. It’s very important," he said before assuring the fan's safety and restarting the song from the beginning.

Coldplay concluded its India tour in Ahmedabad on Sunday and the band's Music of the Spheres concert became the most attended music concert in Asia as 1.34 lakh people witnessed it LIVE.
The stadium, where the concert took place, has a capacity of 1.25 lakh people, and it was packed to the brim as the concert began.
Chris performed the band's best tracks, including Yellow, Sky Full Of Stars, Hymn For The Weekend, Viva La Vida, All My Love, and Paradise among others.
He also greeted the audience on the occasion of India's Republic Day. "We are so happy to be here, so grateful to be here. Happy Republic Day to everybody in India. We know how lucky we are to play in your beautiful country, especially on a day when all the planets are aligned and we have the best audience in the best stadium in the whole wide world," he said.
The concert was also streamed LIVE on Disney+ Hotstar in a rare instance, as tickets for the concert got sold out in minutes and hundreds of fans rued not getting a pass for the mega event.
