A fresh season of cooking-based reality TV show, MasterChef India, began on Monday (January 27), however, this time several popular celebrities can be seen competing with each other. Every season, the makers bring common people in the competition. But as a treat to the audience, this time, they have brought together some of their favourite celebrities.
Popular chefs Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna have returned as judges. They were also be joined by Bollywood choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan.
Television celebrities like Gaurav Khanna, Tejasswi Prakash, Dipika Kakar, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Archana Gautam, Faisal Shaikh aka Mr. Faisu, Usha Nadkarni, Kabita Singh, Chandan Prabhakar, and Abhijeet Sawant are seen as contestants.
According to Telly Talkies, Tejasswi is the highest-paid contestant of the show and she is reportedly charging Rs 3 lakh per week from the makers. The second-highest-paid contestant is Anupamaa actor Gaurav Khanna as he has charged Rs 2.5 lakh per week.
Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika is taking home Rs 2.3 lakh per week, followed by social media influencer Mr Faisu (2 lakh), and actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Nikki Tamboli (1.5 lakh).
Recently, a video surfaced on social media in which the celebrity contestants are seen watching the first episode of the reality show together.
