Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Bullett Raja’ hit the screens on November 29, 2013 and has collected Rs 23.3 crore at the box office, making it the biggest opening weekend for the director.
The action packed entertainer has been doing especially well in the northern belt, that of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi as it is set against a backdrop of a mafia based in UP which the audience can relate to. The audiences are moreover loving the rogue and charming character played by Saif Ali Khan in the film. Due to the positive word of mouth, Sunday witnessed a 25 percent jump to 8.8 crore from 7 crore collections on Saturday. Though the trade maintains that the film is made at a much higher amount and will not recover the same terming it as a flop.
