Its been nine long years, since the UK-based reality show (original Big Brother) – Bigg Boss hit the Indian idoit box. The fan following and fancy has quite lived up to the expectations of the producers, with some loyal audience to its every changing trends on the national television industry. Apart from the fun and surprise element, Bigg Boss shows are very well known for some of the other controversies year-after-year. However, keeping aside, all other issues today we would like to focus on the celebrities who won the show. This uber cool show has given a large chunk of limelight and attention to many known and yet so many unknown faces. Beating all the contestants, only one has made it to the title of this show with every season that has gone by. But astoundingly, where are these winners? Have they really made it big? Let’s take a look at our winners ‘Lost and Found’.
Rahul Roy- Bigg Boss Season 1 2006-07
Rahul made it big in the initial stages of his career with his blockbuster Aashiqui in 1990 and later Junoon in 1992. Sadly he went down the radar after a series of flops. His comeback in the Bigg Boss house in the first season itself got him the love of his fans that eventually made him the winner. After that he came in a couple of films which were again not that noteworthy. Where is the much needed junoon Rahul?
Ashutosh Kaushik- Bigg Boss Season 2 2008
Ashutosh started off with his fame galore with MTV Roadies 5.0 which he won. Later in 2008 he got his entry in Bigg Boss with yet another winning trophy. After The reality show he has been in a couple of films of which Kismat Love Paisa Dilli is well appreciated by many in Bollywood.
Vindu Dara Singh- Bigg Boss Season 3 2009
Better known as son of great Indian wrestler Dara Singh, Vindu started his career with a couple of side roles in many films and TV serials and made his way into Bigg Boss season 3. He won many hearts and was crowned as the winner. Vindu later marked his acting career in films like Housefull 2, Joker, Son of Sardar, Himmatwala, and Jatt James Bond.
Shweta Tiwari- Bigg Boss Season 4 2011
Shweta Tiwari is the K series girl all the daily soap fanatics will be aware of. She bagged a large number of fans with her role as ‘Prerna’ in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. She won Bigg Boss season 4 with 10 million as prize money. After winning the reality show, Shweta was seen in Parvarrish, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6 and also Comedy Nights with Kapil. She was also a host on the show Rangoli. Currently not quite in the spotlight, we’re waiting for her comeback.
Juhi Parmar- Bigg Boss Season 5 2012
Popularly known for her soap opera Kumkum- Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan for which she has won best actress as well. She participated and won Bigg Boss season 5 and later took part in many reality shows with her husband Sachin Shroff. She has been off camera ever since she became a mom and is now all set to make a comeback in Parvarrish season 2.
Urvashi Dholakia- Bigg Boss Season 6 2013
After Shweta Tiwar it was Urvashi who caught eyeballs in the serial Kasauti Zindagi Kay as the best vamp. With her villainous image as Komolika Basu she became a household name. She also played in the famous comedy show Dekh Bhai Dekh. After a rocking win in Bigg Boss she was on a break and has now returned in Badi Door Se Aaye Hai as 555.
Gauhar Khan- Bigg Boss Season 7 2013
This supermodel has walked the ramp for giant labels like Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla and many more. She gained popularity in the music video Hawa Mein Udti Jaye with Bombay Vikings. After having a glistening affair with Kushal Tandon on Bigg Boss season 7, Gauhar made it to be the winner. She further appeared in Khatron ke Khiladi as a contestant and also hosted India’s Raw Star. She will now be seen in an item song in the latest adult comedy Kya Kool Hain Hum 3.
Gautam Gulati- Bigg Boss Season 8 2014-15
During the initial stages of his career he bagged a role in the famous daily soap Diya Aur Baati Hum which gave him a massive share of fame. After winning Bigg Boss season 8 he appeared in a short film ‘Darpok’ that got him to walk the 67th Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet. He was also seen in Siddhartha-The Buddha as Devadutta and a music video ‘Teddy Bear’ featuring Kanika Kapoor, Ikka Singh and Sakshi Salve.
Prince Narula- Bigg Boss Season 9 2015-16
The latest season of Bigg Boss named reality king Prince Narula as the winner. He has previously won MTV Roadies X2 and MTV Splitsvilla. It will be interesting to see how Prince goes about with his bag of reality TV crowns.
