Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who was last seen in the reality show Bigg Boss 18, has tested positive for coronavirus. On Monday, the 51-year-old actress took to her social media handle to inform her fans, urging everyone to stay safe and wear masks.
She wrote, "Hello, people! I've been tested Positive for COVID. Stay Safe and wear your masks!"

Reacting to the news, several celebrities extended their well wishes to the actress. Sonakshi Sinha commented, "Oh God! Take care, Shilpaaa… speedy recovery." Shilpa's Bigg Boss 18 co-contestant Chum Darang wrote, "Get well soon," while Indira Krishna added, "Take care, dear. Recover soon." Deanne Panday commented, "It’s on the air... a lot getting it... mask on most important... get well soon my darling."
Shilpa was one of the top contestants in Bigg Boss 18 and she gained attention for her close 'maa-bete' relationship with Vivian Dsena and Karan Veer Mehra.
Shilpa made headlines for her drastic weight loss transformation. The actress earlier revealed that she lost 13-14 kg ever since her stint on Bigg Boss 18.
Speaking to ETimes, Shilpa credited co-contestant Avinash Mishra for kickstarting her weight loss journey on Bigg Boss 18. "When he was in Bigg Boss's jail, we all received very little food, and all of us lost weight. I feel that was the starting point for me. Avinash will always have my thanks... I am now on a proper diet. I have to maintain this weight loss, and in fact, I want to lose even more weight because, on screen, you always appear bigger. I’m trying to control my portions and stick to just one or two meals a day."
On the work front, Shilpa will be seen next in the Telugu film Jatadhara
