It’s known that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared screen space with actor Deven Varma in many films including superhits like ‘Kabhie Kabhie’ and ‘Silsila’. So remembering Varma, who passed away early on Monday morning at his residence in Pune following a heart attack at the age of 78, the megastar said that his ‘friend’ brought smiles to many faces.
“Deven Verma… Friend, co-artist, producer and one that brought smiles on the faces of millions.. No more! Prayers and condolences… DevenVerma… Shall never be able to repeat our patent greeting: “this floor is made of cement concrete”. RIP,” Sr Bachchan posted on the micro blogging site Twitter.
Bachchan, 72, had also worked in the films ‘Kabutar’ and ‘Besharam’ which were produced and directed by Varma. Meanwhile, it’s noted that the megastar is currently in Ahmedabad, Gujarat where he is shooting for his upcoming movie PIKU, which talks about the relationship of a father and daughter.
