Singer-actress Shehnaaz Gill received immense backlash after a video featuring her surfaced on the internet in which she can be heard telling an entrepreneur that they cannot "afford" her. Netizens slammed the actress for her "attitude" and felt that she has become "too arrogant".
In the video which is now doing the rounds on the internet, a woman can be seen approaching Shehnaaz to the face of her haircare brand. The actress promptly replied, "Aap ke paise hai mujhe dene ke liye? Do you have money?", to which the entrepreneur said that she can her right then and there.
Shehnaaz then quipped, "You can't afford me," before asking the woman to speak to her manager. "Vo raha mera manager, you can talk to him," she said.
While the woman took it sportingly and indulged in some banter with Shehnaaz, the actress' remark did not go down well with netizens, who accused her of being rude and pompous. "YOU CANT AFFORD ME? Tu hai kon..Aisa kya kar diya isne ke itna ghamand?" a user commented under the video on Instagram, while another wrote, "Not appropriate even when joking." "Ghamandi aurat," a netizen stated.
On the work front, Shehnaaz was last seen in the music video of Sajna Ve Sajna. The song, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Divya Kumar, garnered millions of views online and Shehnaaz was seen flaunting her sizzling moves in it.
Shehnaaz became a household name after her stint on Bigg Boss 13, and in 2023, she marked her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. In the same year, she also featured in Bhumi Pednekar's film, Thank You For Coming, but post that, her Bollywood career did not really pick up.
