Buzz is that seasoned actor Atul Kulkarni has been roped in to play Prataprao Gujar. The film is said to be a Marathi historical action film titled ‘Saat’, which is based on true events in the life of Shivaji Maharaj.
The film is said to encapsulate the inspiring true story of Prataprao Gujar, who was the commander-in-chief of Shivaji’s army and his six trusted men. According to history, they fought valiantly for their king and pride.
Talking about his role in the film, Atul said in a statement, “I’ve always loved doing roles which frighten me as to how am I going to do it! ‘Natrang’ for example. I must confess that this role and script of ‘Saat’ have challenged me the most so far.”
‘Saat’ is written by Nikhil Mahajan and will be directed by Ashish Bende.
