Actor Dhanush might have found love once again after his divorce with Aishwarya Rajinikanth, as reports have surfaced claiming that he is dating actress Mrunal Thakur. It all began after the two were seen holding hands at a party and netizens could not help but raise eyebrows at the undeniable chemistry between them.
In a video which is now splashed all over the internet, Mrunal and Dhanush can be seen casually holding hands while being engrossed in conversation. Later, the actress also leaned and whispered into the Raanjhanaa actor's ear, and he was seen smiling at her.
The video seems to be from the special screening of Mrunal's film, Son Of Sardaar 2, and Dhanush reportedly flew down from Chennai to Mumbai to attend it, which was surprising for his fans, considering how the actor refrains from making regular public appearances.
Not just that, but Mrunal was also spotted at the wrap-up party of Dhanush and Kriti Sanon's film, Tere Ishq Mein, in the city.
Fans claimed that the two even have a shared playlist on Spotify, with majorly Tamil songs by Ilaiyaraaja, who happens to be Dhanush's favourite.
Neither Dhanush nor Mrunal has reacted to the dating rumours yet.
Dhanush's previous marriage
Dhanush was previously married to superstar Rajinikanth's daughter, Aishwaryaa, and it was reportedly an arranged marriage. He had said in an interview that they were family friends.
Dhanush and Aishwarya got married in 2004, but after 18 years of marriage, they announced separation in 2022. Their divorce was finalised in November 2024. They have two sons -- Yatra and Linga.
Mrunal, on the other hand, is making headlines due to her personal life for the first time. The actress has so far managed to keep her private life away from the public eye.
