Anushka Sharma has been on a break from her professional commitments and made sure she stuck around with hubby Virat Kohli in London for his Test Series against England. While the couple made headlines for their social media PDA, a recent picture tweeted by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has backfired for real.
BCCI took to their official handle on Twitter and shared a picture at the Indian High Commission in London of the entire cricket squad that played under the leadership of captain Virat Kohli. But what irked cricket fans was Anushka standing in the front row alongside Kohli.
Twitter users didn’t take it well and went on a spree of comments and questions. While one wanted to know what Anushka was doing in the frame, the other asked if she had joined the team. Some also pointed out how vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was made to stand in the last row.
