Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has sold two swanky residential apartments, located in Mumbai's suburban area of Borivali, for a staggering Rs 7.10 crore. The actor registered a massive profit of more than 91 per cent as he sold the properties in June.
According to Square Yards, the two adjoining residential apartments are located in Sky City, developed by Oberoi Realty and spread across 25 acres. It is a ready-to-move-in residential project offering 3BHK, 3BHK+Studio, and duplex apartments.
The first property was sold by Akshay for Rs 5.75 crore. The actor purchased it in 2017 for Rs 3.02 crore, and it spans across 1,101 sq ft, including two car parking spaces. The transaction involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 34.50 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
The second apartment was sold by the Kesari actor for Rs 1.35 crore, after being purchased for Rs 67.90 lakh in 2017. It has a carpet area of 252 sq ft. The transaction incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs 6.75 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
In totality, the actor sold both the apartments for Rs 7.10 crore, and registered 91.95 per cent profit in 8 years.
Back in March too, Akshay had sold two residential properties in Borivali for Rs 6.60 crore, and those too were purchased in 2017 in the same township.
In April, the actor sold his office space in Lower Parel for Rs 8 crore.
On the work front, Akshay has a slew of films lined up in his kitty. He will be next seen in Bhooth Bangla, which also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Paresh Rawal. Besides, the actor also has Hera Pheri 3, with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, and the film is finally set to go on floors after a massive controversy.
Apart from that, Akshay will play the lead in Welcome To The Jungle, which also stars more than 15 actors. He also has Jolly LLB 3, Haiwaan, and Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat in the pipeline.
