Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's racing team ended up securing the third sport at the prestigious Dubai 24H 2025 race on Sunday. The win came days after the actor met with a horrifying accident while practicing for the race in Dubai.
Several photos and videos of Ajith celebrating with his team post the win have now gone viral. The 53-year-old actor launched his racing team Ajith Kumar Racing in September last year, and participated in the event alongside teammates Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod.
Ajith also received the Spirit of the Race recognition in the GT4 category at the event.
Congratulatory wishes poured in for Ajith as the actor's team secured the third place at the event. Among the first ones to congratulate him was actor R Madhavan, who attended the event in Dubai in person and celebrated Ajith's victory with him.
Sharing a video of hugging Ajith, Madhavan wrote on Instagram, "So so proud.. what a man. The one and only. Ajith Kumar (sic)."
Kamal Haasan too lauded Ajith and his team for the achievement. "Extraordinary achievement by Team #AjithKumarRacing in their maiden race! Thrilled for my friend Ajith, who continues to push boundaries in his diverse passions. A proud and seminal moment for Indian motorsports (sic)," he wrote.
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin wrote on X, "I am thrilled to hear that Ajith Kumar Sir and his team have secured third place in the 991 category at the 24H Dubai 2025. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to #AjithKumar Sir and his team for this remarkable achievement. I thank @Akracingoffl for displaying our Dravidian Model Government's @SportsTN_ logo in this prestigious racing event. I wish Ajith sir continued success in bringing even more glory to our nation and Tamil Nadu (sic)."
It is to be noted that last week, Ajith was involved in a major car crash during the practice session after the brakes of his car failed. He narrowly escaped any serious injury and a video showed his car crashing into a barrier and spinning seven times before it finally stopped.
