Newbie Ahaan Panday is currently basking in the success of his debut film, Saiyaara, and netizens seem to have found their new crush on social media. Fans got to work and they have now dug up old videos of Ahaan in which he can be seen mimicking Ranbir Kapoor, who he seems to be a fan of.
In one of the videos, a young Ahaan can be seen recreating Ranbir's famous dialogue from Rockstar: "Girlfriend bann ja meri, tu aur main rock kar denge." In another video, he lip-synced to his song, Channa Mereya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
He also danced to Ranbir's songs like Dilliwali Girlfriend, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Main Badhiya Tu Bhi Badhiya, among others.
As his old videos resurfaced, netizens called him a "cutie" and some said that he is destined to be the "next big thing" in Bollywood. Some also advised him to not mimic Ranbir or other actors, and hone his own skills to create his unique style.
Saiyaara box office performance
Meanwhile, Saiyaara has shattered all records at the box office, and it has minted a staggering Rs 132 crore in just five days. It opened with Rs 21.50 crore on July 18, registering the highest-ever first day collection for a romantic film.
It earned Rs 26 crore on its second day and Rs 35.75 crore on Sunday. It also successfully passed the first Monday test as it collected Rs 24 crore, and saw a surprising jump on Tuesday with Rs 25 crore.
Saiyaara also stars Aneet Padda opposite Ahaan and it has been directed by Mohit Suri of Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain fame.
