Bollywood actor and Bigg Boss OTT 3 fame Ranvir Shorey seemingly agreed to an X user's post claiming that there was "disrespectful showcase of feminism" at the funeral of Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

After the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, Narwal was laid to rest in his hometown in Karnal, Haryana. Visuals of the emotional and heartbreaking scenes from his funeral were splashed all over the internet, and while the entire nation mourned the family's loss, an X user sparked controversy with his rather unusual take.

The X user, named Lt Col Sumit Mohan Garg, objected to women officers carrying Narwal's casket and wrote, "#Feminism and #Equality don’t work in a practical world. Who had the bright idea to showcase feminine power on such a sombre occasion and disrespect the departed soul. It also underlines the unsuitability of women in Armed Forces, where physical capabilities are critical (sic)."

While most of the netizens slammed the user and called his post "insensitive", Ranvir seemed to agree to him. "Absolutely!" he replied to the post.

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Ranvir had put out an abusive message for Pakistan on his X handle. He later clarified, "Refers to terror/jihad propagating Pakistani establishment, not peace loving population, if any (sic)."

He had also posted, "I’m sure most Kashmiri Muslims are good, kind people, who regret the ethnic cleansing of Hindus from the State, but do bear in mind that for a lot of them Hindus are either a meal ticket as tourists, or cannon fodder for Islamic jihad. Thank you. #PahalgamTerroristAttack (sic)."

On the work front, Ranvir was last seen in the show, Kanneda, streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
