Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is currently making headlines after a video showing IPS officers at his residence surfaced on social media. On Sunday (July 27), as many as 25 IPS officers met Aamir at his Bandra home, reports have stated.
Aamir's team has reacted to the now-viral videos. In the clips, several cars and a bus are seen departing from Aamir's residence.
25 IPS officers at Aamir's house
According to a report in News18, Aamir's team said they aren't sure about the reason behind the sudden visit of IPS officers at the actor's residence. "We are still figuring out with Aamir," they stated.
On the other hand, a report in Firstpost stated a member of his team revealed that the IPS trainees of the current batch had requested a meeting with Aamir and the actor hosted them at his residence.
This had raised speculations as it comes a couple of days before Aamir's special announcement. On July 29, Aamir will announce something, however, it is not known what it will be about.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, which earned over Rs 165 crore in India. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film marked Aamir's return to the big screen after nearly three years and also starred Genelia Deshmukh in a key role.
Up next, Aamir will portray Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, in an upcoming biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani, reports said. He is also expected to attend the 2025 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) as the Chief Guest. Scheduled from August 14 to 24, the 16th edition of the festival will reportedly feature a special retrospective celebrating Aamir's contributions to Indian cinema, culminating in a spotlight on Sitaare Zameen Par.
He will also produce Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol in the lead role. The film will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
