The Arabic action-thriller 7 Dogs, featuring Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, has continued to see a slow response in India. On its third day in theatres (Sunday, August 23), the film collected around Rs 26 lakh gross at the Indian box office.
According to Sacnilk, the movie recorded an India net collection of Rs 24 lakh. The Hindi version contributed Rs 11 lakh, while the English version earned Rs 13 lakh.
Released in India on August 21, 7 Dogs arrived in dubbed Hindi and English versions after its original release in Arab countries in May. Despite the promotional buzz around cameo appearances by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, the film has struggled to draw Indian audiences.
Made on an estimated budget of around $40 million, or approximately Rs 335 crore, 7 Dogs has recovered only a very small portion of its reported cost from its Indian theatrical release so far. Its Rs 26 lakh gross over the opening three days reflects the film's limited box office reach in the country.
The Free Press Journal reviewer awarded the film three stars and wrote, "7 Dogs is an entertaining action-thriller. While it is an Arabic film, it has been shot and presented like a Hollywood movie. It might attract the Indian audience, but Salman and Sanjay fans will surely be disappointed."

Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the filmmakers behind Bad Boys for Life and Bad Boys: Ride or Die, 7 Dogs is an action-packed crime thriller. The story revolves around an international crime syndicate and a dangerous narcotic that threatens to spread across the Middle East.
The film features a global cast that also includes Monica Bellucci, Giancarlo Esposito and Martin Lawrence. The project was conceived and co-written by Turki Alalshikh.
