Biopic is not new formula in Bollywood industries, but its quite evident that the audiences were not ready to watch and appreciate the biopic movies. But today scenario has change, many directors taking the risk and give their best films and being announced with the top actor and actress in the lead.

In 2016, Bollywood has seen some great biopic likes ‘Neerja’, ‘MS Dhoni’, ‘Azhar’, ‘Sarabjit’ and a name few. The success of biopic movie motivate our directors to show more real life story on silver screen and its likely to be release in upcoming years 2017 movies are ‘Raees’, ‘Daddy’, ‘Haseena- The Queen of Mumbai’ and biopic on Rani laxmi Bai- title yet to be decided.

M S Dhoni biopic

MS Dhoni biopic is based on real life story of great Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Sushant Singh Rajput was seen in lead role as a most celebrated Indian cricket captain in movie.

Neerja

Neerja biopic films is based on the life of Neerja Bhanot, a flight attendant, whose flight from Mumbai to New York was hijacked in Karachi.

Neerja is a heroic story a very young girl Neerja Bhanot who diaplayed extraordinary courage during extremely dangerous circumstances. Sonam Kapoor played a title role in the films and also stars Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani in pivotal role. The movie directed by Ram Madhvani.

Sarabjit

Omung Kumar directed movie Sarabjit is based on real life story of Sarabjit Singh. Sarabjit Singh was convicted by a Pakistani court for spying and terrorism. Sarabjit family suffer the burn of troubled political relations between India and as they spent a good part of their lives fighting to prove Sarabjit’s innocence. Sarabjit sister character plays by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and in a lead character of Sarabjit Singh was plays by Randeep Hooda.

Dangal is a biopic on Mahavir Phogat, the patriarch of India’s most known wrestling family. Dangal is most hyped by Aamir Khan movies. Social activist Anna Hazare says “Anna”, a biopic on his life will inspired viewers to lead a life with pure thought. The film helmed and lead actor by Shashank udapurkar. Shashank said, I was inspired by Anna and I was shocked by Anna movement that he is 74 years man and how can he attract a young youth”
