A Russian actress, identified as Kamilla Belyatskaya, aged 24, was swept away into the sea after she was hit by a giant wave on the Koh Samui island in Thailand. A video of the horrifying incident has now gone viral which shows the actress engrossed in meditation moments before her death.

According to reports, Belyatskaya, who was a tourist on the island, placed her yoga mat on the rocks near the sea and was spotted practicing yoga and meditation. However, she was caught off guard when a giant wave hit her and before she, or anyone else could realise, the actress was pulled into the raging sea.

In the viral video, she can be seen fighting against the currents and struggling to save her life, but in vain. Another person present at the spot jumped in to save her, but he too has not been found yet. Her yoga mat was seen floating in the middle of the sea.

Belyatskaya's mortal remains were later recovered from a spot 3-4 kilometer away from the rock on which she was meditating. She was reportedly on a vacation to Thailand with her boyfriend, and had meditated at the same spot earlier too.

Local authorities have now warned tourists against venturing near the rough waters as the island is being pounded by heavy rains.

Not just that, but she also called the Koh Samui island her 'home' in one of her posts. She had shared a picture of the spot from where she was swept away hours before the tragic incident. "I love Samui so much," she had said.
