Students Viral Video: Recently a Nepali student, head boy of Holy Bell School, Abiskar Raut gave an ardent speech in his school's 24th annual program atmosphere focusing on the political and economic misfortunes in the country. The impressive speech has garnered significant attention and produced a wide range of responses online.

Raut started with his dream of a new transformed Nepal saying, "Today, I stand here with a dream of building a new Nepal. The fire of hope and passion burns within me, but my heart is heavy because this dream seems to be slipping away." He made Nepal a nurturing mother; whether its citizens dutifully rewarded her benevolence with honesty, hard work and contribution. He challenged the audience, asking, “Nepal, our mother, the country that gave us birth and nurtured us- what did it ask for in return? Just our honesty, our hard work, our contribution. But what are we doing?"

The student cited problems including unemployment, corruption in politics and getting caught up in “selfish games of political parties.” “Corruption has woven a web that is extinguishing the light of our future,” he warned, beseeching young people to become “the fire that will burn away the darkness” and “the storm that will cleanse away the injustice.”

Netizens Reactions

The speech quickly went viral on social media, amassing 1.6M views on X and eliciting a spectrum of reactions. Some users applauded his speech with comments. One user wrote, "More power to this guy!" Another wrote, "He put his 100% into successfully conveying the message. Great!," A third user said, "What a speech. What a confidence."

However, others marked controversial parallels, noting resemblances to historical figures, with comments such as, "Hitler reborn," and "He kind of sounds like Hitler! Good speech, though!"
