The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the Civil Services Mains Examination, 2025 timetable at upsc.gov.in.

UPSC Civil Services Mains 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the Civil Services Mains Examination, 2025 timetable at upsc.gov.in. According to the timetable, the exam will start on Friday, August 22 with the written paper and end on August 31 with the optional subject (paper 2).

Exams will be conducted in two sessions: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

UPSC Civil Services Mains 2025: Vacancy details

This year, UPSC conducts the CSE for 979 positions, including:

1. 38 opportunities for candidates in the Benchmark Disability category.

2. 12 for candidates with low vision or blindness.

3. 7 for the deaf and hard of hearing

4. 10 for candidates with locomotor impairments.

5. 9 for people with numerous disabilities, including deaf/blindness.

UPSC Civil Services Mains 2025: Selection process

The UPSC CSE Preliminary test was held on May 25, 2025. It consisted of two objective-type papers (MCQs), each lasting two hours and worth a maximum of 200 points. The preliminary results were announced in June.

Following the Mains written examination, UPSC will conduct an Interview/Personality Test phase and publish the final results.
