UPSC CDS II 2025: The Union Public Service Commission has announced the UPSC CDS II test schedule 2025. Aspirants preparing for the Combined Defence Service (II) Examination can view the schedule on the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

UPSC CDS II exam schedule 2025

The CDS II test is set for September 14, 2025. The exam will be taken in three two-hour shifts. The paper-based shift timings are as follows:

1. English - 9 AM to 11 AM

2. General Knowledge - 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

3. Elementary Mathematics - 4 PM to 6 PM.

The UPSC CDS II application window ended on June 20, 2025. The UPSC intends to fill a total of 453 positions throughout defence academics via the Combined Defence Service test. The positions include Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Navel Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA).

UPSC CDS II 2025: Exam pattern

The UPSC CDS II 2025 exam pattern consists of a written exam that follows an SSB interview. The written exam for IMA, INA, and AFA includes three papers: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics, each lasting two hours and worth 100 points, for a total of 300 points. The OTA exam consists of two papers: English and General Knowledge, each lasting two hours and worth 100 points, for a total of 200 points. IMA, INA, and AFA receive 300 points for the SSB interview, whereas OTA receives just 200.
