UP Board Class 10 and 12 results: The declaration of UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 results is expected to be pushed back after the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, extended the answer sheet evaluation deadline to April 4, 2026.
In an official notification issued on March 31, the board informed district authorities and evaluation centres that the checking process, which began on March 18 and was originally scheduled to conclude on April 1, could not be completed on time due to multiple public holidays.
UP Board Class 10 and 12 results: Evaluation work affected by holidays
According to the board, evaluation work remained suspended on March 21 on account of Eid-ul-Fitr and again on March 26 and 27 due to Ram Navami holidays. This disruption led to pending answer sheet assessments across several centres.
Following requests from District School Inspectors and deputy controllers, the board approved an extension. All evaluators have now been instructed to complete the checking process by April 4, while ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
The board has also directed that the final award lists be submitted to regional offices by April 5, indicating that result processing will begin soon after.
UP Board Class 10 and 12 results: Over 49 lakh students awaiting results
The UP Board conducted Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the 2026 session between February 18 and March 12 in offline mode. Exams were held in two shifts daily — morning (8:30 am to 11:45 am) and afternoon (2 pm to 5:15 pm).
This year, more than 52 lakh students registered for the exams, of which around 49.4 lakh appeared. Practical examinations were completed earlier in January and early February in multiple phases.
With evaluation now extended, students may have to wait a little longer than usual for their results, though the board has not announced a revised result date yet.
