TNSTC Recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
1. Applicants need to have at least an SSLC (10th Pass) as their minimal educational requirement. Furthermore, applicants must have a current Heavy Vehicle Driving License and at least 18 months of experience as of January 1, 2025.
2. Candidates must meet additional requirements including the ability to read, write, and speak Tamil fluently.
3. A current first-aid certificate is also required. The minimal physical criteria are 160 cm in height and a weight of at least 50 kg. Applicants need to have good eyesight and no physical limitations to be considered for selection.
5. The age limit differs for each kind of candidate. Aspirants in the general category (OC) must be between the ages of 24 and 40, while those in the BC, MBC, DNC, SC, and ST categories may apply up to the age of 45. For Ex-Servicemen (Ex-S) applicants, the maximum age is 50 years for OC aspirants and 55 years for BC, MBC, DNC, SC, and ST applicants.
6. Those who finished their training through the Institute of Road Transport (IRT) do not need to be 24 years old or have 18 months of experience.
