TNPSC Group 2 registration 2025: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will shortly conclude the online application process for the Combined Civil Services Examination - II (Group II and IIA Services). Those who are eligible may apply for the positions via tnpsc.gov.in till August 13, 2025. The Commission plans to fill 645 vacancies.

Important dates

The modification window will be available from August 18 to 20, 2025. The preliminary exam will be held on September 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

TNPSC Group 2 registration 2025: Application fees

Applicants must pay a cost of Rs 100 for the preliminary exam and Rs 150 for the main exam.

How to register for TNPSC Group 2 2025?

To apply for this exam, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of TNPSC at tnpsc.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the Group 2 registration link, available on the homepage.

Step 3: After this, aspirants need to register themselves and then proceed with the application procedure.

Step 4: Next, fill out the form, make the payment, and then submit.

Step 5: Download the form and take a printout of the same for future reference.

TNPSC Group 2 2025: Selection process

The TNPSC Group 2 selection process varies depending on the post you apply for.

For Group 2 (Interview) posts, the process consists of three stages – the Preliminary Examination, the Main Written Examination, and the Interview.

For Group 2A (Non-Interview) posts, there are only two stages – the Preliminary and Main Written Examinations. The Preliminary Exam is an objective-type test, and candidates must secure at least 90 marks to qualify. Those who pass proceed to the Main Written Exam. In the case of Group 2 posts, the process concludes with a final Interview, which plays a crucial role in determining the final selection.
